Biography – Heidi Holmquist Wells
Heidi Holmquist Wells has practiced law since 2009 and been a partner at The Zwerdling Law Firm since 2017. She began her legal career as a Humboldt County Public Defender, famously winning acquittals in two homicide cases, and now works almost exclusively in the field of personal injury.
She shares Zach Zwerdling’s long-standing commitment to representing those in our community with empathy, diligence, and tenacity. Since entering private practice, she has successfully recovered millions of dollars for injured clients in cases involving car collisions, falls, dog bites, and DUIs. She enjoys meeting people from all walks of life, listening to their stories, and helping them fight to get the recovery they deserve.
Ms. Wells completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the
University of California, Davis in three years and graduated from The University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law with an emphasis in Trial Advocacy. While at McGeorge, she was a member of the Competitive Mock Trial Team and represented the school at national competitions. She passed the California Bar Exam in 2009 and became a licensed attorney at the age of 24. She has been the Co-President of the County Attorney’s Association, a local member of the local Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), a mentor attorney with the Teen Court Program, and is the 2022 Humboldt County Bar President.
